Terry Crist has been a Minister for over 50 years, 36 of which have been at Mt. Gilead. He has lived and ministered in Goodhue, Minnesota; Monroeville, Pennsylvania; at North Hills in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Mooresville, Indiana. If Terry were to ever write an autobiography, it’s no doubt that each of these locations inspire the title: The Country Preacher. In the midst of all of this, Terry and his wife, Karen, have four children. Terry began as a Senior Minister, then worked as an Evangelism Minister, and is currently a Pastoral Minister. He starts off his days with coffee and prayer, and then completes a myriad of activities which include making hospital calls, shut-in calls, overseeing Seniors Ministry and AFC Philippine ministry, doing funerals and weddings, and anything else he’s called for.
Over time, Terry has read numerous Bible verses, but the one that sticks out to him the most is Philippians 4:8: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things."
