Connections Minister | 317.831.1900, ext. 2009
Kent Phillips has been attending Mt. Gilead since 2013, and he began working as a Minister in 2017. Kent’s duties are to transform the way Mt. Gilead’s Guest Services and Life Groups are implemented. Although change can be difficult, the most rewarding part of his job is seeing fruits of his labors emerge in encounters, on Sunday mornings or in groups, creating a Christ-centered community in action. Kent and his wife, Anna, have a son and daughter. His family’s kindness, creativity, and willingness to help inspire Kent daily. His favorite summer activity is attending a Dodgers game with his family, and during the winter months, they enjoy staying warm in their Brown County cabin.
The Bible verse that sticks out the most to Kent is Philippians 2:4: “Let each of you look not only to his own interest, but also to the interest of others.”
Something beautiful happens when we look past our own needs and wants and focus on those of others.
