Study Resource: Grace is Greater: A Study by Kyle Idleman - We've all experienced failures, bitterness, or setbacks. We carry unseen burdens that rob us of joy, keep us from praying, and even cause us to doubt God. Idleman wants to remind us that God's grace is greater. And the best way (perhaps the only real way) to understand it, is to experience it. No sin is so great, no bitterness so deep that God's grace cannot transform your heart and rewrite your story.

Video Resource: Grace: Various Video Resources - What does it mean for God to be gracious? In this video, we’ll look at grace as a rich concept that has profound implications for how we see God.

Study Resource: Unpacking the Multifaceted Meaning of Grace - An Article by the BibleProject: God's grace is a free gift, often described with terms like “undeserved” or “unmerited favor.” He doesn’t count peoples’ successes and failures to determine who receives his love or life. Instead, from the kind intention of his will, God gives all goodness freely, and in the Bible he describes himself as gracious.

Podcast Resource: We Are the Royal Priesthood: A Podcast - After Jesus’ disciples receive the Holy Spirit, they become God’s temple and the physical embodiment of Jesus on Earth. This has huge implications for our understanding of what it means to be the church. Dive into this discussion with the BibleProject team as they unpack what it means for followers of Jesus to be the royal priesthood, now and in eternity.

Book Resource: "Leap Over a Wall" - Recommended Book for Series - This book is Eugene H. Peterson’s vibrant, insightful, and heartfelt exploration of one of the Bible’s most controversial figures: King David. Peterson beautifully elucidates the Old Testament’s rich depictions of David's failures and victories, recapturing their excitement and immediacy to reveal David himself as a crucially human example of how we relate to God.

Book Resource: David: A Man of Passion & Destiny - A Book - A recommended book by Charles Swindoll – The Bible tells us that David was a man after God's own heart, but what does that mean in practice? David, the Old Testament shepherd, king, and psalmist, offers an answer in the shape of his own incredible life.

Video Resource: David and Goliath: A 19-minute Video/Study - Michael DeFazio (New Testament & Hermeneutics Professor at Ozark Christian College) provides an analysis of the story of David and Goliath.

Video Resource: Goliath Must Fall: A Study by Louie Giglio - It’s likely you have a giant in your life. Adversaries such as fear, anger, addiction, and others can stake a claim and gain a foothold in your heart. How can you live as if these giants are dead and silenced? In this six-session video Bible study, Louie Giglio examines the David and Goliath story to show you how to focus on the size of our God rather than the height of our giants. You can gain freedom and claim victory in Jesus.

Study Resource: Guide to the Books of Samuel: Information–Resource - Check out these helpful resources: After the nation of Israel was rescued from slavery in Egypt and made a covenant with God at Mount Sinai, they eventually came into the promised land. There, Israel was supposed to be faithful to God and obey the covenant commands, but the book of Judges shows how Israel failed. It was a time of moral chaos that showed Israel’s need for wise, faithful leaders. The books of Samuel provide an answer to that need.
