As you may know, churches have been given some freedom to begin meeting again, as stated in the Governor’s updated guidelines in the Back on Track Indiana Plan. The leadership of Mt. Gilead has come up with a plan that allows us to re-open our physical campus slowly and carefully.
Mt. Gilead’s plan will closely follow the Back on Track Indiana Plan. We will be following the recommended guidance for the numbers of people in social gatherings. Along the way, we will still have all of our online activities for kids, students, and adults.
Stage 2 — May 4-May 23 // Gatherings of 25 or less
We are going to invite groups under 25 to begin meeting as long as they are comfortable in doing so. Current group leaders will have guidance coming their way.
Beginning Sunday, May 10 we are encouraging groups of people to gather in homes to watch the online service together. We also have a new livestream service time, Sundays at 10am & 5pm, to accommodate groups meeting together.
Stage 3 — May 24-June 13 // Gatherings of 100 or less
Groups over 25, larger MG University classes, and Student Ministry activities will have the green light to begin meeting in-person as long as everyone follows health and social distancing guidelines.
Stage 4 — June 14-July 4 // Gatherings of 250 or less
In-Person Services Resume! We are targeting June 14 to resume in-person worship services. We will continue live-streaming our services. Service times and other details will be coming soon.
Stage 5 — July 5 and beyond // Gatherings of 250+
Beyond July 5, we hope to expand our services and introduce events back into the life of the church.
Our Children’s Ministry is waiting on updated guidance from the school system. We will generally follow their lead on when to resume our Sunday morning Children’s Ministry programming. Families will sit together in worship services throughout the summer.
