Welcome to the Student Ministry at Mt. Gilead. While you're here, check out all of the different opportunities our Student Ministry offers to Jr. High (7th and 8th grade) and High School (9th through 12th grade) students. If you're new to Mt. Gilead, let us show you how our Student Ministry operates.
Our mission in Student Ministry is to develop Kingdom-minded, fruit-bearing disciples. We do this by walking students through three intentional growth environments.
We want to see students connected to each other, growing in small group communities, and serving in ministry.
A student's first step in our youth ministry is to get connected. We have a lot of great entry points for students. A good first step for a student is to attend our Sunday morning Bible School classes, monthly Sunday Night youth group, a special event, a trip, or a service project. Attending any of these environments will help get a student connected.
The second step for a student in our ministry is to get involved in a House Group. A House Group is made up of three or four different small groups that meet in someone's house once a week. Being in a House Group enables students to form relationships with other young Christians and an adult small group leader. Our House Groups meet on Sunday nights in various homes. Students can sign up and be placed in a group or just start going with a friend.
The third step for a student in our ministry is to practice and experience personal ministry. Student impact is a group of students who are each experiencing personal, hands-on ministry and making an impact in their church, their school and their world. Student Impact happens whenever a student from our ministry serves in the community or church.
As we intentionally walk students through these steps, it's our plan that they will become more like Jesus. There is a place for every student you know inside Mt. Gilead's Student Ministry.
