Men of the Mount, the men's ministry at Mt. Gilead Church, calls men to life change, to growth and to deep relationships with other Christian men.

Events

Saturday morning Men's Bible Study: 8 a.m. Saturday (except in July and August) in Room G1. Features doughnuts, coffee, verse-by-verse study and discussion. Currently, the class is doing a study title "Life Lessons from Jesus," examining practical lessons Jesus taught His apostles as seen in Mark's gospel. Each week stands on its own, so join in as your schedule permits. 

Beans and Burgers Cookout: Conducted the third Sunday night of August each year, this is an event for men to gather and fellowship. No salads allowed. The 2011 event will be at 6 p.m. Aug. 21 on the recreation field behind the church. We always enjoy a great time together, with great food and activities, including a closest-to-the-pin contest, horseshoes and disc golf.

Breakfast of Champions: Conducted twice each year, this event features great food and fellowship along with a challenge from a guest speaker. This year's event will be at 8 a.m. April 16.

Acts 6 Ministry: This ministry helps widows, single mothers and the elderly with various home maintenance issues.

Men's Small Group: This group, facilitated by Bud Swisher, meets at 7 a.m. each Saturday in Room G5. During July and August, the group meets from 8 to 9 a.m.
